Who ever created this topic should think about the fact of captaining in a lobby with people who are afk the whole draft and do not respond to the captains questions. They sit down, never captain in Inhouses and enjoy fapping while captains take their worthy time and try to get a game. I left the game to avoid getting more mad about this crap. gg

As annoyed as I am by duke's actions I do think there is a point to be discussed here about one of the main plights of AoS EU community.
I admit for a long time people have been dodging captaining in inhouses from shard constantly going to smoke to people just sitting and not contributing to the draft then raging when it isn't what they expect you to pick/disagree with your strategy.
But recently there has been MORE of it than I have seen in a long time... I thought things had gotten better when we began insisting that old caps should pick new but that honeymoon period has finally come to an end and people are STILL refusing to captain when picked... This leads to some fairly imbalanced games for example:
if I have to capt vs Zera with kael, lame and maxwell in the lobby + 5 reasonably even players. If I lose the rps then i would say 70% of the time or even more the game is already lost due to the disparity between the skill of the captains and the fact he will get 2 of the 3 best players in EU... Im balanced captains does not make a good game.
On top of this the people who dodge USUALLY get picked anyway in spite of their negative effect on the lobby which sometimes means that people who, if given more of a chance to play more inhouses, would be excited to captain and benefit the community.
I suggest we should start punishing those who consistently dodge by not picking them/making them sit out a game until the next one that they captain... Unfortunately I can't enforce this myself so if others feel the same and are frustrated by this please comment below and help.

You obviously can't get the joke, anyway that's not a true reason for you to leave the game and ruin basically the whole inhouse for 9 other people(it wasn't bad enough that we barely got 10,and after you left nothing happened).

Maybe stop giving people flak for not wanting to fulfil an unthankful role and seek to reward the players that give it a shot instead. Maybe, just maybe you could think about letting weaker captains that are more willing take up the drafter's seat with an advantage over the stronger captain (there's no reason whatsoever that you should have to rps for firstpick, or even pick 1-2-2-2-1) and being thankful when they offer. And perhaps while you're at it, you could consider that just because someone is good at the game doesn't mean they are a good captain or that they enjoy it. For example: we all know that Hucci isn't the best player on eu, but his drafting skills by far exceed those of 80% of so-called t1 players (not to mention those of tierless trash like myself). Hell, if we're gonna be fortunate enough that all of the above can be taken into consideration (but let's face it, that would be much too sensible for most of you) we might even stop to look at other easy to solve problems in our playerbase. We might actually use two to five games to properly educate less-skilled players with some pauses, patience and coaching in order to save ourselves time and frustration in the future (fuck, we might even retain some people instead of just losing them!). But who am I kidding? These "idiots" don't understand what is obvious to the rest of us when they are being angrily yelled at while they are frantically trying their best in an otherwise already stressful environment (>Game is hard! >That just happened!) so they can clearly never learn. Especially not on my precious time. That's someone else's problem! "Who ever created this topic should think about the fact of captaining in a lobby with people who are afk the whole draft and do not respond to the captains questions. Kael has cpted at least five that I attended in this time. I guess what I'm trying to say is... COOL STORY, BRO!

Here's my help for you. Maybe stop giving people flak for not wanting to fulfil an unthankful role and seek to reward the players that give it a shot instead. There is no reason it should be an unthankful job but i do feel that everyone in the lobby should have an obligation to try and make the game run as smoothly and quickly as possible rather than dodging the system we have in place to choose who should captain next...Maybe, just maybe you could think about letting weaker captains that are more willing take up the drafter's seat with an advantage over the stronger captain (there's no reason whatsoever that you should have to rps for firstpick, or even pick 1-2-2-2-1) and being thankful when they offer. It is not me who has to allow this. I would be 100% in favour of this but I canmot implement this by myself... Everyone else must want to aswell. Currently the easiest way is to pick 2 captains of similar ability. Your opinion is debateable and doesnt really have much to do with this arguement... But to preface this it is not just t1 players who dodge they are just the most irritating because they get away with it.Hell, if we're gonna be fortunate enough that all of the above can be taken into consideration (but let's face it, that would be much too sensible for most of you) we might even stop to look at other easy to solve problems in our playerbase. We might actually use two to five games to properly educate less-skilled players with some pauses, patience and coaching in order to save ourselves time and frustration in the future (fuck, we might even retain some people instead of just losing them!). Especially not on my precious time. That's someone else's problem! So your point is that you would like to start helping to introduce more people into the inhouse community! Maybe you should try and create a clan, like sphynx, and introduce and help newer players to the inh community.
Methinks thou doth pretest too much. You've seen what, four inhouses these past two weeks? Kael has cpted at least five that I attended in this time. I think the fact that duke hasn't been playing so much is more beacuse of his frustrations. I also dont think he was really accusing kael of never captaining but was a plea to ask him to think of it from his point of viewI guess what I'm trying to say is... COOL STORY, BRO! ...

You obviously can't get the joke, anyway that's not a true reason for you to leave the game and ruin basically the whole inhouse for 9 other people(it wasn't bad enough that we barely got 10,and after you left nothing happened). I don't know who you are, but I must say all you wrote is epic trash. First of all, every time I'm host(so it's same whoever is host), there are maybe 1-3 people that acctualy help to find players, rest just talk about somethinflg else, or go afk and when they are back just talk crap. I must name people that most of time help with organizing inhouses: DoubleG, Stego, Rustin, maybe I missed someone but this shows how little people does it. I don't want to name people that never help since there might be some bullshit from it, but most eu knows those people. So now, lets talk more specificly about lobby duke left. So I was host, nobody helped in finding players, on end when I got 10th(duke) nobody wanted to capt. So after 10 minutes duke says he wants, so this ih can finally get going. Long story short, while we were drafting his whole team was afk, and he left. After that I tryed to get a replacement with some lower tier player, but then 1 guy that btw never capts, just said cool story, and left lobby. After that I rly got sick of this game. So, I guess duke isn't completely right when he left lobby, considering he offered himself, but he also had a reason, considering every time its same fucking bullshit, same capts and host that acctualy try to do something to make inhouses better, and certain amount of people that never capts and go afk, and just talk crap when ever they don't like something.

Literally nobody on that team was afk except for me as I had to go to the bathroom. He said "draft for me or I go worst troll draft u ever saw", went try hard and proceeded to rq when you lastpicked the new hero. "i didn't know anything about a new hero" *duke has left the game*.

Offering yourself to cap, wasting 15 minutes and then threatening to do "troll draft" instead of actually trying to be serious is basically negating everything you said.No idea why you are blaming the comunity,I allways captain when I am able to,for instance that game I was having my dinner at the time(I actually stated that I could go captain next game).
